Volunteering at the Festival
From the very first year, the food capital’s most important ingredient was… our brilliant volunteers!
Without our volunteers we simply couldn’t run our festivals and other events.
Whether selling tickets, preparing ingredients or manning festival entrances – a volunteer is first and foremost a host and an ambassador for Malton. Some of our volunteers have been with us for years, but we always have room for more!
If you would like to help host Malton’s biggest events, please contact enquiries@visitmalton.com
We’d love you to join the team!

A Word On Atmosphere…
What is it about Malton? What is it about our Food Festival that seems to resonate with people? After 15 years of asking, the same answer comes up time and time again - atmosphere.
And it’s true, there’s a buzz, a feeling, something you can’t put your finger on. It’s the fact that we don’t just put a tent in a field. The fact that you have to explore the little streets and charming alleyways of Malton to see all the festival offers.
And it’s that connection between the town and festival that’s the secret. Yes, it’s the street food, stalls, music, the happy hum of thousands of foodie visitors. But what’s makes Malton so special?
It’s the atmosphere.
